Rules and Guidelines
Code of conduct
There are standards of behaviour that we expect from all our guests and members to ensure that everyone has a fun, enjoyable and safe gathering. As a guest or member of the NT Pagans, you will have the following rights and responsibilities for the duration of the gathering. By attending a gathering, it is explicitly understood that you agree to abide by the below conditions.

These Rules and Guidelines were provided to 2012 AWC by Mike Crowther and will be used for the 2013 AWC and future NT Pagan Gatherings.
There are standards of behaviour that we expect from all our guests and members to ensure that everyone has a fun, enjoyable and safe gathering. As a guest or member of the NT Pagans, you will have the following rights and responsibilities for the duration of the gathering. By attending a gathering, it is explicitly understood that you agree to abide by the below conditions.
They include:
- To ask questions and request more information about any aspect of the gathering.
- To feel safe and to feel that your belongings are safe. As there will be no secure storage supplied, please be mindful of all valuables. Do not leave them in common areas unattended.
- To behave in a responsible and considerate way towards all other participants, their belongings and the venue.
- Bring any disagreements, disputes or incidents to the attention of the gathering organisers. This includes verbal or physical assault, accidents, damage to the property and inappropriate behaviour.
Discourteous Behaviour
These will ensure your future exclusion as a guest or member
- Touching the magical or musical instruments of others without first asking the owner’s permission
- Smoking inside buildings or enclosed common areas
- Insulting language towards your hosts or other guests
- Freeloading: Turning up without a booking and expecting to be catered for.
- Religious vilification, pagan or otherwise
- Intoxication which impacts on the enjoyment of others
- Talking inappropriately whilst entertainers are performing or during rituals
Disruptive Behaviour
These will result in you being asked to leave:
- Attempting to conduct personal group rituals, casting of private/group circles at the gathering without an organiser’s permission. This includes using the event as a forum for airing personal grievances and will not be tolerated.
- Disrupting ritual: Rituals are not compulsory. If you do not agree with what is to take place in a rite, do not attend it, or quietly leave it. It is YOUR responsibility to attend ritual briefings beforehand and ask questions to ascertain its suitability.
- Obscene behaviour in common areas
- Any illegal drug use
- Sexual harassment of any kind. No MEANS No!
Destructive Behaviour
Instant removal and possible criminal sanctions
- Indecent assault or sexual harassment
- Picking a fight, or threats of actual assault
- Stealing
- Breaking of any state or federal law.
- No Ritual Blades: Please be aware that in NT any double edged blade is considered a prohibited weapon, thus the transport of Athames into NT may result in them being confiscated and destroyed as well as possible criminal charges.
